If you don’t have pear, you can substitute grated onion instead. apple sauce should be ok too but I haven’t tried it myself so not totally sure how it will turn out. Good luck!

I cooked bulgogi last week and cheated using an “authentic” Korean BBQ seasoning packet and was told the flavors were off (star anise blend) and no hats were tipped to the chef that night LOL.
