It's a great frugal meal that Koreans enjoyed especially during the cold season. BTW, if you cannot get pork neck bones, you can just use pork ribs and it will still be delicious.

Instant Pot Gamjatang recipe was a perfect recipe to try because it requires cooking the pork bones for a long time. Loaded with flavors, this hearty stew recipe is simple and easy to make in the IP. When compared with my traditional recipe, this recipe was just as yummy if not better.

Instant Pot Gamjatang (감자탕) Korean Pork Bone Stew has been on my list to 'cook for blog' for a while now (probably too long.. haha). When I first got my Instant Pot back in June, I immediately thought that Galbijjim and the Instant Pot Gamjatang recipe was something that would be perfect Korean food to be made in this amazing appliance.

So, this time I actually cooked both regular and IP recipe at the same time. And I can tell you with total confidence that the Instant Pot Gamjatang came out just as flavorful as the regular recipe and definitely was simpler and quicker to make.

Chicken Bulgogi that is not spicy and juicy. Try this for your BBQ this Spring!

Chicken Bulgogi is often made with a spicy marinade which means gochujang is involved. The flavors are pretty similar to Pork Bulgogi. Recently, I was asked to develop a non-spicy version for a client and it came out so yummy and easy, I decided to share that with you here. For this recipe, you do NOT need any fresh ingredients except for the chicken. This Chicken Bulgogi marinade can totally be made from pantry items so it would be a great recipe to have for days when you are low on fresh grocery items like fresh garlic, onions, etc. 

Here I served with some rice and beautiful Chrysanthemum tea which is my most favorite to have with Korean food.

Mul Naengmyeon is a Korean cold noodle soup that's usually served icy cold (almost as a slushy) in the summer in Korea. But did you know that originally it was eaten in the winter time in North Korea (where my parents are originally from)?? Mul Naengmyeon has a special place in my heart because it was something our whole family loved and had quite often.

It was always our regular Sunday lunch menu after we came home from church. And my mom loves it sooo much that she always says she has a separate (extra) stomach for it.. HAHAHA... and so she can eat double her usual amount when it comes to having Mul Naengmyeon!! 😲😲My Dad always loved a true Northern style Naengmyeon very much too... 😍So.. as you can imagine, I grew up eating many variations of Naengmyeon in our home, at my grandparent's homes, at our aunts' homes, at different restaurants.. you name it, I've had it all.

So, I guess you could say I'm sort of a snob when it comes to this Korean cold noodle soup dish. And somehow it seems many restaurants just can't seem to get it done properly. There's a restaurant in our area that is sort of famous for their naengmyeon (WHY it's famous, I will NEVER know..) and people stand in a loong line to eat it. I went their 2 times (just to make sure I give them enough opportunities) and the second time it was soo bad, I could not finish the bowl. It was just really SOooo sweet and had no other flavor than sour and sweet...
