Of course I know Peanut Brittle! And actually I think I say in the post, similar candies to Dalgona exist throughout the world! Honeycomb candy, sponge candy.. they go by different names.

Do you know that candy? The batch is much larger; but you cook the sugar mixture over the heat until it turns the golden brown color. toward the end, you add raw A(uncooked) peanuts and continue cooking them in the candy. Then you remoc=ve it from the stove and stir in the soda. Quick stir and poor out onto a greased cookie sheet. Allow it to harden and then break into pieces. I also like to add shredded coconut very close to the end of the cooking so it doesn’t overcook. Have you ever tried candy like this>>

If it’s exploding, I’m wondering if you are adding too much soda. Are you just putting a very tiny pinch?

Thank you so much! the candy is best kept out of fridge (it will become wet in the fridge) at room temp – in a container or plastic bag. Because sugar doesn’t go bad, it can be good for a long time – just like any regular sugar candy. If it’s to hot or humid, the candy may not be as crispy that’s all.
