Funny how Finland has the same kind of thing, it’s called talkkuna ! I use to love it in yogurts when I was there, have no idea if it can be drank.
I may try to find misugaru as a substitute as Korean products are wayyyy easier to find even for Europe 😀

In reply to Paula. Oh no particular brand.. as we don't have a lot of choice in the US. Just check to see what grains it has in it and you can choose based on your preference. Also, I would check if there are any additives in it because it shouldn't have any. Good luck!

I forgot how I drank this growing up and randomly read this article and did the loose and not totally incorporating all the powder thing like you say here and there it was. I was blending it all in and it never tasted how I remember. I really appreciate all your recipes. It’s the closest I can find online that matches the food I ate growing up. 💕

It’s so crazy, you’re the second post I’ve seen making misugaru cold. I always had it served to me warm in Jeolla-do and ChungCheong-do. I’m excited to try it this way!

In reply to Ji C.. Yay!! Exactly what I was hoping for! I kind of forgot to drink misugaru for the last couple years and just remembered. I am afraid I don't yet have any favorite brands and each market sells so many different kinds. I would say to just buy the ones that has at least all the basic flours like sweet rice, rice, barely, brown rice, soybeans, etc. The other ones are all extra. Enjoy!
